. I am a clinical neonatology fellow at UCSF in the Department of Pediatrics and Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and a T32 Preterm Birth Initiative postdoctoral research fellow. My research investigates population level racial inequities in outcomes among preterm infants and racism as a root cause. I am also co-PI of the Racial and Ethnic Justice in Neonatal Intensive Care (REJOICE) study, a mixed methods study to investigate local racial inequities in standards of care, outcomes, and lived experience of families in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). To advance neonatal equity and health services research, I founded the Neonatal Justice Collaborative, a national organization of leaders with expertise in neonatal equity research collaborating to advance the field.
