Neonatologist, Instructor of Pediatrics

Dr. Fraiman (he/him/his) is originally from Chicago, Illinois. He completed his undergraduate studies at Princeton University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Religion. He completed medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and received his MPH at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He completed his pediatrics training at the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center, his Neonatology training in the Harvard Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Training Program, and his health services research training in the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Service Research Fellowship. He is a neonatologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA where he serves as the Associate Director for Health Equity and an Instructor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He is also the Vice Chair of the Neonatal Justice Collaborative. His research interests focus on racial and ethnic inequities in neonatology focusing on the long-term impact of inequity across the pediatric life-course and the structural and institutional interventions that can be designed to create health justice.
