Alix Brickley, MM, MT-BC (NICU-MT) is the primary NICU Music Therapist at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She received her undergraduate degree in vocal performance from the University of Denver before completing her Master’s in Music Therapy from Sam Houston State University. Alix is passionate about manipulating the auditory environment to promote neurodevelopment for both preterm and medically complex infants in the NICU. She has presented nationally on the benefits of music therapy in the NICU and on collaborating within a multi-disciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes. Recognizing the importance of evidence-based practice, Alix has published multiple NICU Music Therapy related studies in peer-reviewed journals. She currently lives in Denver with her husband and young son.
