Gabriel Hutson, MN, RN, C-ELBW is a staff nurse in the NICU at University Medical Center Southern Nevada. He earned his Masters of Nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Before attending Emory University, he earned his B.S. in Biology (Suma Cum Laude with University Honors) from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. Gabriel began his neonatal nursing career in February 2022 at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta in their level IV NICU before moving to Las Vegas, NV.
Gabriel is a proud member of NANN, as well as the National League for Nursing (NLN) and Sigma Theta Tau. He volunteers with the University of Nevada School of Nursing in their simulation center, focusing on simulations for NRSG 405: Nursing Care of Women and Childbearing Families. He is an item writer for the C-ELBW exam offered by the NCC.
Gabriel hopes to one day earn his DNP as a neonatal clinical nurse specialist. He has an interest in improving neonatal nursing education and professional development for pre-licensure nursing students, as well as bridging evidenced based practice and culturally competent care in the NICU.
