Megan Lundstrom is the Director of the Resilience Fund at Polaris in Washington DC, and was the founding CEO of the survivor-led, nationally-recognized organization The Avery Center for Research and Services. Beginning in 2014, Megan began providing trainings to medical professionals in her hometown, which quickly grew to statewide and national conferences. Since that time Megan has presented to medical professionals including Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountain regional clinician’s conference, Colorado State University’s Human Trafficking Symposium, Anschutz Medical Campus, Banner Health, UC Health, and the American College of Nursemidwives. Megan has published and presented research findings through United Nations University’s Centre for Policy Research, American University’s MOSAICS project for criminal justice professionals, the Journal of Urban Crime, Dignity Journal and Polaris. Additionally, Megan has worked as an expert consultant with medical facilities to increase identification and response protocols, and was a consultant for the Department of State to create best practices and recommendations for anti-trafficking efforts in the midst of public health crises. Megan's education background is a combination of Finance and Applied Sociology, which strengthens her focus on creating evidence-based, survivor-centered programs and initiatives.
