Kathleen Ellis, PhD, RN, CCRN-K, CNE, is a Nurse Scientist with Children's Health in Dallas, Texas. While most of her clinical nursing experience was spent in Neonatal ICUs, she has also worked in pediatric ICU, adult ICU, nursing research, and undergraduate/graduate nursing education. Currently as a nurse scientist, Kathleen works with nurses to promote the use of research and evidence-based practice with the goal of improving healthcare outcomes, assisting with professional development, and discovering new aspects of nursing science.
